  • CUSTOMER RELATIONS ASSOCIATE, PT (WOODBURY)

    POSITION TITLE: Customer Relations Associate, Part-Time

    DEPARTMENT: Retail Banking

    LOCATION: On-Site

    SUPERVISOR TITLE: Retail Bank Manager

     

    POSITION SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Provides assistance to bank customers to include selling/referring appropriate bank products and services, greeting customers, processing customer transactions, balancing of teller drawer, and answering phones.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS/GOALS:

    1. Greets bank customers within seconds of entering bank or drive through facility. Introduces themselves to customer, determines customer needs and takes appropriate action.
    2. Promotes and sells consumer and business deposit products by interviewing customers to determine their needs. Upon receipt of deposit application, proceeds with appropriate product procedure, completing necessary paperwork to ensure that customers’ deposit needs are met in a courteous, timely manner.
    3. Processes customer teller transactions timely and accurately. Maintains fewer than 3 transaction errors per month.
    4. Answers telephone within 3 rings using bank established greeting – “North American Banking Company, Sherri speaking, how may I help you?” Takes ownership of bank calls, follows through on customer commitments.
    5. Performs daily teller drawer balancing function by following bank guidelines. Maintains a Teller Over/Short Account of less than $100.00 for the year, and keeps their balancing percentage above 80% at all times.
    6. Follows Safeguarding Cash and Money Handling Guidelines as directed in the Retail Banking Procedures Manual.
    7. Assists customers with purchase and ongoing service of Safe Deposit Boxes. Maintains accurate box records.
    8. Performs other duties as assigned, included but not limited to the following:
    • Sells travelers checks, maintains an adequate supply of various denominations, keeps accurate log book, submits monthly settlement reports to vendor, reviews statements and reconciles account if needed.
    • Sells cashier checks and money orders, prepares the checks, and processes the transactions.
    • Sells, orders and redeems government savings bonds. Completes appropriate paperwork and forwards to Accounting staff.
       

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    1. High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED).
    2. Previous customer service experience is preferred.
       

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    1. Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) to customers, and other bank employees.
    2. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
    3. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
    4. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a multitude of situations.
    5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, ITI Software, PW Teller Software, Account Processor Plus Software.
    6. Knowledge of applicable bank compliance policies; Bank Secrecy Act, Reg. CC, and Reg. E.
    7. Ability to use hands to; finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. While performing this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
    8. The work environment is typical for an office and does not require exposure to working conditions outside of a typical office environment.

  • LOAN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, FT (WOODBURY)

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Contributes to the profitability and growth of North American Banking Company by providing quality credit and documentation support, loan file maintenance, and assistance to bank staff.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS/GOALS:

    1. Pulls Credit Bureau reports, flood determinations, UCC Searches and conducts necessary searches and research prior to loan closing.
    2. Prepares necessary retail and business loan documentation through Laser Pro software.
    3. Inputs retail and business loan data onto ITI system ensuring accuracy and completeness in required fields.
    4. Prepares retail and business loan files and follows up with any missing documentation items, filings, etc.
    5. Performs weekly retail loan file maintenance review function and follows up on missing items.
    6. Performs daily review of all new loan files that have been entered on the system by other loan staff.
    7. Works with compliance officer quarterly to input HMDA LAR and assists in the annual preparation and submission of the HMDA LAR. 
    8. Prepares releases of bank’s interest on paid off consumer loans and sends paid letters to customers.
    9. Maintains updated certificates of insurance for all consumer loans using a tickler system.
    10. Manages the receipt and annual or semi-annual payment of escrow accounts for insurance and property taxes.
    11. Answers bank telephone and provides customer service as needed.
    12. Requests loan payoffs, processes transactions, and forwards payoff checks to the appropriate banks or other third party.
    13. Actively participates in bank sales promotions and activities, contributing to the achievement of bank established goals.
    14. Refers loan and investment prospects to the appropriate sales representative within the bank.
    15. Participates in business development activities such as community organizations and special events sponsored by the bank.
    16. Performs other duties as assigned.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    1. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Previous loan documentation experience is preferred.


    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
    2. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    3. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a multitude of situations.
    4. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as being able to prioritize assigned duties.
    5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • CREDIT ANALYST 1, FT (WOODBURY)

    North American Banking Company has been serving Twin Cities communities since 1998, help us continue to build new and lasting personal and business relationships as a Credit Analyst 1.

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Contributes to the profitability and growth of North American Banking Company by providing quality credit analysis and documentation support to include spreading and analyzing borrower financial statements, monitoring customers’ ongoing performance, and assisting lending staff.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS/GOALS:

    1. Spread financial information and prepare cash flow analysis from financial statements and tax returns for businesses and individuals using Moody’s spreadsheet software and MS Excel.
    2. Prepare and/or assists lenders with the preparation of timely annual credit reviews on credit customers.  This primarily includes preparation of credit presentation data for annual reviews and new credit requests on existing borrowers based on previous presentations, information on ITI, existing loan documents, etc.  Identifies key issues or questions on credit relationships and communicates these to the responsible lender.
    3. Upon request of lenders, contact borrowers to obtain financial information or answers to key questions or issues raised.
    4. Monitor and analyze borrowing base certificates, set up and monitor construction loan draw spreadsheets and prepares monthly report on borrowing base and construction loans outstanding.       
    5. Assist with the maintenance of credit files in a neat and organized fashion.
    6. During process of annual review, audit loan file for proper collateral perfection, insurance, compliance with loan covenants, verify that the loan is set up on ITI correctly and ensure that approved loan terms are in the loan documents. 
    7. Order real estate appraisals and send engagement letters to appraisers as requested by business and retail lenders.
    8. Review and recommend acceptance or rejection of residential real estate appraisals on a timely basis by completing the appraisal review checklist.
    9. Actively participates in bank sales promotions and development activities such as community organizations and special events sponsored by the bank. 
    10. Performs other duties as assigned.

    7.
